This book covers the seismic structural design of buildings of moment resisting frames, shear and bearing walls, braced frames,
and combinations of these systems, of reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and steel, and for conceptual, preliminary,
and final design. Diaphragm design and foundation design are also included. Explanations and reviews are presented where
deemed appropriate. The preliminary and final design procedures are with respect to the special ductility requirements only.
The final design procedures presented are compliant with IBC 2018, ASCE 7-16, and the main documents they refer to (i.e.
ACI 318-14; TMS 402-16; TMS 602-16; AISC 341-16; AISC 358-16). (231 pages; 17 Chapters). The book may also be of use to
statutory approvals agencies, and those responsible for preparing Terms of Reference for structural engineers (i.e. achitects

How to Order the Book:
The book is actually a Windows application so it must be installed on the reader's machine (i.e. PC or laptop). The book
is not printable.
(Following this procedure shall mean that you agree with the conditions described).

2. Install the contents of the zip file, then open the book by running the app, and obtain the Site Code (SC) and Machine
ID number (MID) displayed in the app.
3. Send an email to rpca11@gmail.com presenting the SC the MID and requesting the Activation Code (AC) for unlocking the book.
4. An invoice is emailed to you (by our payment processor, Wipay Caribbean Ltd.), and payment is made by clicking on the link.

5. Within 48 hours you will receive the Activation Code (AC); open the book and input the AC.
7. Use the book any number of times but it is locked to that machine. You may remove the book from the original machine,
which must be working properly at the time, and relocate it to another machine. This may be done a maximum of 3 times, and
the book will become unavailable on any previous computer.
